Course Description

This Forestry Ethics course is designed for professional foresters who want to remain grounded in their ethical obligations to serve the public and be stewards of the land. It provides an introduction to ethics, principles of ethics, and ethics in forestry. It also includes information about different approaches to ethical decision-making and the steps to be taken in ethical decision-making. Participants will be issued an electronic certificate upon completion of course and final exam submission.  This is an online course.

This course will benefit:

  -  Professional foresters who want to remain grounded in their ethical obligations to serve the public and serve as stewards of the land.
  -  Registered foresters needing forestry continuing education (CFE) credits to continue their forestry registration and maintain their licenses
  -  Professional foresters wishing to attain Category 1 CFEs approved by the Society of American Foresters.
 -  All others with an interest in forestry ethics

CFE credits - participants will earn 1.0 Category CFE for this course.
