Hello! I'm Melanie Hankins Booth, and I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome to a wine class where we don’t just drink wine—we experience it. One of my favorite sayings comes from the Japanese tea ceremony tradition: ichi-go ichi-e (一期一会), which we translate in this course as our toast, “here’s to being here.” It’s a beautiful reminder that every moment—every glass—is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be present, to honor, and to savor.
